Dress Code
It is the policy of the Hartford Board of Education to reasonably regulate the attire of students during the school day. To that end, all students in grades PK-8 shall wear a school uniform. Further, in order to maintain an educational environment that is safe and conducive to the educational process, students in all grades, PK-12, shall abstain from wearing or possessing specified items during the school day.

As an integral part of the R.J. Kinsella Magnet School of Performing Arts learning community, we know that you have sent your child to our school because you want the best possible educational experience. You have chosen our school because you believe in the performing arts theme and value the experiences that the theme provides for your child’s social, emotional and intellectual growth. In order to maintain a rigorous academic environment, we feel it is imperative that we share the same high expectations.

Therefore, we have developed a set of guidelines that align with our school beliefs and culture.
