Extended Day is an after school program which provides students with academic enrichment and enrichment workshops in the arts. The Extended Day program runs Monday through Thursday from 2:15 pm until 3:45 pm.

The day begins with an afternoon snack, and then the children begin their academic or arts enrichment session. This year our academic program is focusing on reading. If a student is having trouble with reading they are receiving reading interventions to improve their literacy skills. The reading interventions could be for two or four days depending on the needs of the student.

Some students will have the opportunity to participate in two or four days of arts enrichment workshops with a performing arts staff or with a local artist. The workshops include activities such as: drama, music, dance, theater, stagecraft, martial arts, social development, health/wellness and other various arts. All workshops run from 2:30 – 3:45 pm. pm.

The Extended Day program has 3 sessions:

First Trimester

• Starts 1st trimester:                    September 13th
• End of the 1st  trimester              November 19th

Second Trimester

• Start of 2nd trimester                   November 18th
• End 2nd trimester                         February 24th

Third Trimester

• Start 3rd trimester                       February 28th
• End 3rd Trimester                         May 19th

These dates may vary depending on inclement weather days and/or early dismissal.
